We are a youth-led nonprofit that transforms discarded paper into origami shared with soldiers, youth, seniors, and patients, promoting sustainability while inspiring creativity and appreciation for Japanese art and culture.

Origami for Environmental Education

Origami for the Environment is an initiative that uses origami tutorials to teach wildlife conservation and biodiversity. Participants fold animals from recycled paper while learning about ecosystems, endangered species, and environmental stewardship through creative, hands-on education.

Origami For Good is a Gloria Barron Prize For Young Heroes Recipient!

The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes awards 25 youth annually—15 of whom receive $10,000 each—and has granted over $1.5 million to young changemakers whose projects have collectively raised more than $31.8 million.

VOLUNTEER

No age, experience, or background required. Whether you are completely new to origami or have folded for your entire life, anyone is the perfect volunteer at Origami For Good. Volunteers part of Origami For Good create origami designs to give by mail. They’re gifted to libraries, hospitals, care centers, and many more places to brighten someone’s day. There is no experience or expenses required besides your dedication to becoming an origami artist.
